Biography:
Dr. Nolan Chalifoux graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatchewan, Canada. After completion of a small animal rotating internship at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Chalifoux continued his training as a small animal resident in Emergency and Critical Care. Following residency, he went on to pursue a Master of Science in Translational Research at the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine. This advanced training alongside human perfusionists and pediatric intensivists focused on investigating neurological outcomes following extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), a form of extracorporeal life support, at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Chalifoux is currently an attending critical care clinician at BluePearl Pet Hospital and serves as the director of the extracorporeal therapy service offering hemodialysis, plasmapheresis/plasma exchange, and hemoperfusion.
