Dr. Ghantous graduated from the University of Illinois in 2000 and completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery there in 2001. He was residency trained in internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin (2001-2004) and became board certified in 2005. He practiced in Illinois for the majority of his career and helped to establish the first complete specialty center in Chicago. Dr. Ghantous enjoys all areas of small animal internal medicine and has a special interest in nephrology. In 2016 he was certified by the University of California at Davis in extracorporeal therapies – both hemodialysis and plasma exchange. LeadER is one of a handful of practices in the country to offer this service. He started this new program at LeadER and and is excited to bring this cutting-edge therapy to Southern Florida for conditions such as toxicities, over-dosages, sepsis, chronic and acute renal failure and more. Dr. Ghantous also has an interest in emergency medicine. Dr. Ghantous is the proud father of three wonderful children and several animals. When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Ghantous enjoys physical fitness and spending time outdoors.
