One of the largest veterinary hospitals in Ukraine. The hospital employs around 450 people, including approximately 130 veterinarians. It operates 24/7. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), with more than 50 patients hospitalized there daily. There is also a Nephrology Department staffed by five veterinary nephrologists. The hospital has its own blood bank. In 2025, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) was launched for ICU patients. As of September 1, 2025, CRRT is available for patients weighing from 15 kg.

Dr. Ivan Yakymchuk is the Chief Veterinarian of Zoolux Veterinary Clinic in Kyiv, Ukraine. He is also the founder of the Private Veterinary College “Zoolux,” which provides professional training for veterinary assistants and postgraduate education for young doctors. He is actively engaged in the development of veterinary education, including the establishment of a Surgery School, Residency Programs in Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology, and training courses for veterinary assistants. Dr. Yakymchuk has extensive experience in advanced veterinary medicine, particularly in diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI), hemodialysis, and intensive care. He is a constant advocate for evidence-based medicine and modern approaches to veterinary practice. He regularly organizes and participates in student conferences, workshops, and professional educational events in Ukraine. He has also completed a number of international training programs, including the Hemodialysis Academy, where he gained deep knowledge in renal replacement therapy. His clinical and academic interests include intensive care, nephrology, diagnostic imaging, and the integration of innovative technologies into veterinary practice. He actively promotes donor programs, blood banking, and the development of intensive care protocols for critically ill patients. Dr. Yakymchuk is deeply involved in professional advocacy and community work, striving to improve both veterinary education and clinical standards in Ukraine.

A physician in the Department of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care, and Critical Care at Zoolux Veterinary Clinic in Kyiv. Graduated from the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. Gained practical experience in several leading veterinary clinics in Kyiv. Acts as a mentor for junior doctors and interns at Zoolux Veterinary Clinic. Actively participates in seminars, workshops, and conferences both at Zoolux and other major veterinary centers in Kyiv. His main professional interests are resuscitation, intensive care, and advanced life support. In 2025, he became directly involved in performing dialysis procedures for critically ill patients. He applies the principles of evidence-based medicine to ensure the highest standards of safety and treatment outcomes. Dedicated to providing personalized, comprehensive care to each patient, combining medical expertise with compassion.
